At Literacy NRV, we are dedicated to fostering, supporting, advocating for, and instructing adults in the New River Valley of Virginia who seek opportunities to achieve greater independence through literacy. Our team is comprised of passionate and experienced individuals who are committed to making a difference in our community. We believe that literacy is the foundation for success in all areas of life, and we strive to provide our students with the tools and resources they need to succeed. Our mission is to break down barriers and open doors for adults in our community through improved literacy skills. Many individuals face challenges in their daily lives due to limited reading and writing, language, or computer abilities. As a volunteer, you can make a significant impact on their lives, helping them gain confidence, independence, and a brighter future.
