Literary Laundry Llc

Literary Laundry is an online literary journal edited by devoted writers and ardent critics. We have established Literary Laundry to promote the literature we crave: masterful writing that can hold discourse with great literary and intellectual traditions while still engaging the complexities of our world today. Literary Laundry recognizes the obscure (and at times glib) character of much currently published creative writing. Many potential readers approach the world of contemporary fiction only to abandon it, overwhelmed and discouraged. We regard this trend as a problem and have created Literary Laundry in order to fix it. Literary Laundry publishes an online, twice-yearly journal showcasing the best poetry, short stories, and one-act drama that contemporary writers have to offer. Works selected for publication may be read on our “journal” page. We also issue editorial reviews of recently published fiction books, and organize quarterly “showcases” of the most talented emerging writers we encounter. In addition, Literary Laundry hosts a discussion forum, allowing readers and authors to network and share their perspectives on literary art with one another. The capstone of our yearly work is the publication of an annual print retrospect, called The Laundry. It will feature the chief pieces published online over the year.
