LitigAiD is a Germany-based US-litigation advisory und management services company. Its core team comprises of lawyers and business economists who have worked many years in investment banks, US law firms and corporates and have experience in over 100 US lawsuits on the defense and plaintiff side involving multi-billion dollar claims. Many non-US corporates are lacking understanding of the peculiarities surrounding litigation in the US which leads to: hiring the wrong law firm due to time constraints, making mistakes in discovery, having no-control at all of their litigation. Our mission is to support non-US companies in their US proceedings as litigation consultants with a broad range of services which provide for a level playing field before US courts, such as: mandating US law firms, negotiating fee arrangements and alternative funding arrangements with all external servicers in the litigation, guidance on internal and external communication, defining litigation strategy, supporting discovery process with a particular focus on compliance with mandatory provisions of German law, advising on mediation or other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. We initiated or defended, supervised and terminated more than 100 US proceedings in addition to many more proceedings all over the world. Our active litigation approach helped to defend claims with a value of roughly USD 5bn and to achieve recoveries of roughly USD1bn. We worked with a multitude of law firms, testifying and consulting experts, E-discovery vendors, PR-firms, litigation funders and adverse costs insurers. We implemented innovative contingent, partial contingent or hybrid fee arrangements.
