Little Listeners is an innovative book club for children aged 3 to 7 that ignites a spark and a passion for reading for pleasure in fun and exciting half-hour sessions. It’s an intervention that everyone wants to join! Why is Little Listeners so special? At Little Listeners we:*Offer awe-inspiring storytime sessions *Become an integral part of the Recovery and Wellbeing plans post lockdown and ongoing through Covid 19 (and beyond)*Strengthen literary related learning,(vocab, sequencing, predicting, etc)*Provide a nurturing and pressure-free environment that engages children and aids their social development. It is their time to feel special.* Captivate children by using high-quality storybooks,(engaging text and illustrations) and a unique Little Listeners board game - children always as for more!*Demonstrate how reading for pleasure is valuable and important. Why does your school need Little Listeners? We will:*Offer assessments of the children to show progress and help teachers write comprehensive reports.* Offer time away from the classroom for small groups of children *Help support the school with Ofsted's Reading Deep Dives.* Promote a positive reading culture at school and at home.*Encourage greater parental involvement which helps to establish good reading habits at home with lifelong benefits.
