Littlemore

Our mission: Together we can help babies have a better start in life who are born into families in need in the upper North Island. We give those who have very little, great quality pre-loved clothing and other essential baby items. In March 2013, Laura Howard started the volunteer-run, not for profit organisation Littlemore, distributing good quality pre-loved baby clothing and other baby items to families in need with new babies at Middlemore Hospital’s maternity ward. Littlemore has since grown to now partner with a number of other organisations around Auckland. Littlemore operated a Waikato branch for two years, thanks to Deborah Blong, that distributed items to families in need with newborns. While there are families with newborns in need across New Zealand, Littlemore recognises that in the medium term there is ample room for growth within the Auckland region. By remaining within a geographically discrete area, Littlemore can maintain centralised operations and leverage the local relationships it has with Auckland-based partners and sponsors. Thus for the foreseeable future Littlemore will restrict its growth to the Auckland Region.
