What is Live by Night? Ever want to go see some live music, but didn't know where to go? Ever want to see who's playing with your friend's bands? Tired of having to scrounge around the internet for information on local live music? LBN aims to solve those problems and more. It is a suite of services designed from the ground up to make discovering, performing, and promoting live music as easy as possible. It does this, initially, in two ways. First, it is a complete*, moderated schedule of all the local live music events in a specific city. Second, it is a social networking system built not for the masses, but for the specific needs of performing musicians, venues, and fans. Those two are just the beginning, of course - eventually, LBN will be a complete toolkit for musicians, including merch, ticketing, booking, and many other services.
