Living Construction Hbbe

Welcome to Living Construction, a research group part of the Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment (HBBE) and Northumbria University. Our vision is to grow buildings and just about anything else combining approaches from Design and Engineering and Biosciences. We work across a range of technologies and technical readiness, from early concepts and blue-sky ideas through to commercial R&D. If you are interested in fabricating new materials using biology (wetware) combined with digital technology (hardware) and new computational tools (software) then please connect.
