Living Sounds

My name is Derane also known as Living Sounds. I make music, host nights but most of all love to sing. This has led me to working with some of the best musicians in the business and I have also been privileged to frequently share stages with these giants of music. Ok. A little about me; as a child I wasn't a willing musician standing bored in the choir but it meant I travelled singing allot of Gospel songs and I now LOVE harmonies. I grew up on Gospel (love it), allot of my mother's Igbo Style Nigerian songs, Action movies and good dose of artists like Prince, B.B. King, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. With that kind of musical back ground and being British/Nigerian it meant I learned to sing songs in my own way which I believe has given a lot of freedom. I've been in many roles in my life and this is the only one that fits, more importantly it allows me to share and I'm all about sharing. Our Stories are being written and re-written with every passing minute. My story is always being told with every place I perform and every person I meet. This gives me more to sing and share and I am very thankful.
