Lizu Community Network

The Lizu Community Network is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO), established on September 1st, 2023. We are an innovative and collaborative organization exploring inclusive digital solutions to promote good governance through digital advocacy and community empowerment, with a focus on working alongside marginalized communities to drive positive change. Our purpose is to equip citizens, particularly those in underserved communities, with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to demand their rights and essential services from duty bearers. We achieve this through digital literacy training, enabling marginalized groups to harness technology for community development and sustainability. Our community-led approach ensures that solutions are tailored to local needs. Vision A community empowered by digital innovation for inclusive governance. Our Goal Our goal is to foster a thriving and inclusive digital ecosystem that empowers underserved communities to fully participate in governance, access essential services, and drive sustainable development, leading to a more equitable, prosperous, and connected Zambia. Mission Empower underserved communities with digital skills and advocacy, to drive inclusive governance and sustainable development, through community-led digital literacy training, advocacy initiatives, and innovative solutions tailored to local needs. Our Objectives: Objective 1: Empower citizens in communities with digital skills and accountability to enhance public service engagement and transparency through community-led initiatives. Objective 2: Amplify the voices of citizens in marginalized communities to influence decisions and promote good governance, with a focus on community-led advocacy. Objective 3: Bridge the digital divide by addressing inequality gaps in technology access and promoting inclusivity and sustainability through community-led programs and initiatives.
