Loan Studio was born from the vision of industry leaders Colin Sheppard and Sonia Rohlf, who first established themselves at Choice Home Loans within Porter Davis Homes. As heads of the sales division, they led the group to national recognition, securing the Australian Mortgage Award for Best Brokerage in Australia in both 2008 and 2009. Recognising a gap in the market for a more personalised, relationship-driven approach, Colin and Sonia launched Loan Studio in 2011—a boutique brokerage built on long-term client care, expert construction finance knowledge, and trusted referral partnerships. The business quickly gained momentum, earning Best New Brokerage 2012 and a finalist spot for Brokerage of the Year 2013 at the Australian Mortgage Awards. Today, Loan Studio manages over $60 million in monthly lending volume and continues to expand, with exciting new divisions extending the breadth of services offered. In 2020, Loan Studio strengthened its presence by joining forces with GA Finance, a respected brokerage with a history of delivering tailored lending solutions across both residential and commercial sectors. The integration brought together two high-performing teams who share the same values of integrity, service, and client-first advice.
