Local Cloth
We want to connect farmers, fiber artists, fiber processors, designers and retailers in order to grow the textile and fiber economies in the Blue Ridge Mountain area. We want to promote our events - Textile Study Group, Fiber Feel Day, Project Handmade, Shepherd's Forum, and exhibits - and share ideas for new ones. Our approach is to - raise awareness and appreciation for local plant and animal fiber and fiber art products - increase access to, and availability of, local textiles and fiber - strengthen the economic viability of our local creative community and help reinvest in the textile industry - advocate for new markets, programs and services to add value to local products and create jobs
