The Lockwood Group is a family run business and currently has over 300 employees across 5 UK sites. The group’s activities include UK haulage and storage, co-pack and frozen food production. Established in 1965, frozen food business Lockwoods Ltd purchased a number of vehicles to deliver it’s frozen mushy peas. As refrigerated vehicles were a relatively new idea at the time and the peas required chilled deliveries this meant that deliveries were only made during the winter months during the cold weather. This left the delivery vehicles idle during the rest of the year and they were soon put to use delivering goods for a completely new set of customers. Lockwood Haulage are now one of the UK's leading logistics providers.
