Do you know that in 2020, over women die from pregnancy and delivery related cause and complications like pre-eclampsia, severe bleeding, unsafe abortions, delivery complication ) yearly. That’s a huge statistics, in 2023 more than 1,030 women in every live birth have died as of April 2023. WHO statistics. If proper care is not taken more women will die due to pregnancy and delivery related causes. LOK Natal Care is committed and passionate to reducing maternal mortality rate by educating women and mothers about their health in pregnancy as well as encourage male involvement in maternal health. Looking at the causes of maternal death in Nigeria, lack of information and knowledge is a major reason why women die due to preventable causes. LOK Natal care is committed to bridging the gap between women survival, care and knowledge by providing adequate informations through sessions, webinars, interactions, consultations and outreaches. We are achieving this by : physical support : Giving and Empowering women with adequate information & knowledge on pregnancy journey through webinars, sessions, one on one consultations. As our mantra at LOK Natal Care is “ A well informed woman is an healthy woman “. Emotional support : we enable pregnant women to express themselves, their fears, anxiety through the use of social media conversations. Psychological support : We take counseling sessions, interacting with pregnant women to boost their confidence, allay their fears and prepare them psychologically for labor process. Male involvement : We engage women and their partners during interactions, for the partner ( husbands ) to involves fully in the pregnancy journey.
