LOLC FINANCE RDC, a company recorded under the Credit Registry since November 2022, is the subsidiary of the LOLC group, a leading global player in the provision of financial services to SMEs and individuals. The LOLC Group was established in Sri Lanka in 1980 as Lanka ORIX Leasing Company, to provide relevant solutions to the growing demand for financial leasing services in the market. As its business has grown and evolved, LOLC, through a carefully tailored portfolio of products and services, has financially empowered the masses and the SME sector to such an extent that they have reached whole new levels of financial stability and well-being. LOLC's business plan has focused since its inception on adopting cost-effective ways of doing business to impact the lives of the communities in which the company operates. This approach makes its business sustainable and people-centric. The company has grown at a very rapid pace, to the point of becoming a holding company for many successful businesses in the financial and hospitality sectors. The LOLC group currently has, in addition to Sri Lanka, subsidiaries in the following Asian countries: Cambodia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan. Its establishment in Africa, of recent date, was initiated via the takeover of several banks and financial institutions based in Nigeria, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Egypt and Zimbabwe. This establishment will continue, on the one hand, by taking a majority stake, in the weeks to come, within a financial institution based in East Africa, on the other hand, via the imminent start of greenfield operations in Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
