Launched in 2017, Loommaas Foods’ first brand and product is named QALAYS. In Somali, QALAYS means a Snack. Its normally taken between meals to keep family members as they for they wait for the next meal and to avoid over eating. Nutritive and full of vitamins, QALAYS is meant for anyone who’s active and needs energy. We have two flavors matching the taste of Somalilanders: SHIGNI for adults who want to add a little spice to their lives and TOMATO for kids who love sweetness in a crunchy way. Loommaas Foods aspires to embody the spirit of snacking in Somaliland and the whole of Africa. QALAYS has made a good start to become the choice of many customers, an irresistible part of all Somalilanders’ daily routines and an essential part of the tea time ritual.
