Lorros Internet Applications Ltd. is the developer of LORROS, a web-based application for improving board communication and meeting productivity. LORROS is for boards, committees, or any group that meets regularly to discuss and make decisions in a formalized manner. LORROS includes 4 basic components - Meetings, Discussions, Polls and Actions. Decisions evolve from discussions, polls are used for finding consensus, meetings formalize decisions, and actions are used to track the implementation of the decisions. LORROS Discussions A LORROS discussion is like a social media feed, it starts with a main topic and members of the group can comment on the topic or add replies to comments. Discussion threads are easier to follow than email and end dates are set for each discussion. Full transcripts can be downloaded at any time during or after the discussion. LORROS Polls Taking a simple poll is an easy way to find consensus. Polls, unlike motions, are not binding. LORROS polls can have up to 5 answer choices. LORROS Meetings Unlike telephone and internet conferencing, LORROS asynchronous meetings are email-based. This means that all group members do not have to be available at the same time and/or in the same place. The meetings can be held over a longer period of time or combined with other meeting formats. Meeting agendas are prepared online, motions can be submitted and voted on, and minutes are available as soon as the meeting is over. LORROS Actions Many decisions require actions and unless actions are targeted and tracked they often fall through the cracks and don’t get done. The action is assigned to one member of the group. An action that has extended beyond the target date is flagged. All comments and updates are recorded and can be downloaded at any time. All records are saved and are keyword searchable.
