We are not comfortable being described as Private Equity or Venture Capital. In so many ways we operate fundamentally different from the industry norm. We don’t like to be confused with “private equity,” but we haven't found another way to describe ourselves. We are not flashy and are happy to be considered as “unglamorous.” Some private equity companies like to invest in a small ownership percentage. We are not investors, we are operators that acquire a controlling interest in the companies that have the few key characteristics we seek. Most private equity companies are looking for a bargain on the front end. To us, It is far more important to find the companies that we believe are just about ready for growth with just a few new changes.
