Lucas Farms

Lucas Farms raises calves for beef. In the country we are known as a “cow-calf operation.” That means we maintain a herd of breeding cows and bulls who give us calves every year. When the calves get to be about teenager age, in cow months, we send them on to the next step toward your grocery store, either to someone who puts them out on grass for awhile or to a feedyard where they gain weight to about 1200 lbs.
