Lucerne Farms forage is a grain complement, fiber supplement, and hay replacement. Each of our blends contain a special mixture of Northern grown forage to help meet the needs of horses at every level and every stage of life. Our unique drying process allows us to effectively “lock-in” nutrients that are lost during the traditional sun-curing process, while eliminating harmful mold spore. Chopped to 1-3 inches in length, each bag is dust extracted and blended with either soy bean oil or molasses then compressed into a convenient bale. Feeding Lucerne Farms chopped forage is a natural way to make sure your horse is getting the fiber they need. While some horses might need a complete hay replacement due to respiratory or other medical issues, others may only need a fiber supplement or may want a more natural “treat”.
