Lumakon Conferences

Lumakon, s.r.o. was founded in 2013 and deals mainly with the complex realization of scientific events such as exhibitions, conferences and seminars as well as various cultural and social events. The most important conference from Lumakon's s.r.o. conference portfolio, is an international scientific conference "Refractories, Furnaces and Thermal Insulations " which retains its biennial periodicity and its XI. edition will be organized in April 2020 by the Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling in cooperation with the co-organizer IPC REFRACTORIES, spol. s r. o, Košice. Lumakon, s.r.o. covers the organizational and maintenance of this conference. The conference has been held since and it is one of the largest conferences of its kind in Central Europe; 198 participants took part in it in 2018, 25 papers were presented there and 7 exhibitors performed their products. The high level of scientific and social event is guaranteed by presentation of top experts from scientific and educational fields and top management of metallurgical giants. The Conference constitutes the forum for presentation of new scientific-technical knowledge in field of refractories, furnaces and thermal insulations as well as the presentation of companies, their products and services in form of exhibition with the opportunity to establish new business contacts and expert exchange of the experiences in this field.
