Lumbardhi Foundation aims to create sustainable conditions for culture as a critical tool for a democratic public sphere. Established in 2015, it was founded with the mission to revive the former Lumbardhi Cinema as an independent cultural institution, preserving its heritage values and stimulating artistic production. Through its programs, Lumbardhi creates civic spaces for research, experimentation and collective learning, and facilitates participation of diverse stakeholders to address local challenges and offer new ways of working, learning and building together. Lumbardhi Foundation’s activities are spread to Public Programs, Research, Archives and Publications, as well as its upcoming Center for Cultural Politics.
