Luminest

LumiNest is a social-impact initiative supporting families of young autistic children — and families who are still trying to understand or identify their child’s development. Based in Cambridge, we focus on the early years (2–6), where support should be clear and proactive but is often confusing, slow, and inconsistent. Today, families navigate a system full of gaps: unclear next steps, long waits, inconsistent guidance, limited understanding of neurodivergent development in nurseries, and a lack of practical, compassionate support. Many parents are left to “figure it out alone” during the years that matter most. LumiNest exists to change that. We’re building an early-support platform that provides: Clear, step-by-step guidance through the UK autism pathway Tools to prepare families for appointments, referrals, and assessments Easy-to-understand explanations of developmental differences Evidence-informed strategies grounded in OT, child development, and neurodiversity-affirming practice Multilingual support for families who need culturally accessible information Playful early-years tools, including MoppoMonster, to help children with emotions and routines Co-created with autistic adults, families, and specialists, LumiNest aims to make early support simpler, clearer, and more humane—so families feel informed, empowered, and never alone.
