Lunched Management & Booking
Lunched is an international management, booking & consulting agency, based in Montreal and New York, and founded in 2007 by Jean-Pierre Leduc. The company works primarily with jazz musicians. Lunched was inspired by Leduc’s close collaboration with jazz pianist Hank Jones, whom he managed until his passing in May, 2010. Leduc has also guided the careers of such top musicians as drummer Alvin Queen (Oscar Peterson, Horace Silver); the highly sought-after bassist George Mraz (Stan Getz, Chet Baker); and violinist Billy Bang, whose acclaimed recording, Vietnam: the Aftermath Leduc produced. Recent signings to Lunched include piano great Cedar Walton and vocal powerhouse Mark Murphy. In 2002, Leduc won an AFIM Indie Award for Billy Bang’s Vietnam: The Aftermath; in 2005 he was nominated in the Down Beat Critics Poll as one of the best record producers; and in December 2010, it was announced that “Lonely Woman,” a recording by Hank Jones he produced, was nominated for a Grammy Award for “Best Solo Jazz Recording.”
