Malcolm Turnbull MP announced France’s DCNS as the international partner to design and build Australia’s next generation of submarines The 12 submarines will be built in Adelaide, South Australia and will replace the fleet of Collins Class vessels currently used by the Royal Australian Navy. Valued at A$50 billion, the Program is the largest government contract in Australia’s history and the largest defence export contract in the world at the moment.
