LUSOMELT was established in 1981 being its main activity field the representation of different international producers of commodities and goods for metallurgical, chemical, glass industry and others. The activity of the company covers, specially the steel fields in its different applications, carbon steel, alloys, stainless steel, raw materials and subsidiaries (pig irons, ores, ferroalloys, carbon and cokes, etc, refractories, wear linings, furnaces for thermical treatment and for glass and cement industry, etc. In the scope of a special department, LUSOMELT acts in Portugal on behalf of the greatest world groups in the field of noble metals, foundry industry and shot blasting machines. In the scope of other special department in infrastructure field, LUSOMELT supplies rail and railway equipments (wheels, wheelsets, bogies, noise absorbers, rail and its respective fixation systems and turnouts. LUSOMELT also deals with equipments for port infrastructures, fenders, bollards, quick release hook, tubular piles and pipes.
