Luss Smokehouse began trading in 2015 and ever since has been rapidly increasing. One of the major goals for Luss Smokehouse was to employ as many local people as we can and we have done just that. We started off with just 4 members of staff. but now we employ 10. Enjoying an idyllic location in the ancient village of Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond, the Luss Smokehouse is the natural inheritor of a centuries old Highlands craft that has long given Scotland pride of place on the global map of epicurean excellence as home to the finest smoked salmon in the world. We like to keep things simple at the Luss Smokehouse, combining basic natural ingredients with time honoured curing techniques to produce the flavoursome, succulent beech smoked salmon we want our customers to savour and enjoy. Using only the finest and freshest fish from our network of trusted suppliers, each salmon is individually hand filleted before gentle kiln smoking in the traditional way for up to 12 hours. The salmon are then delicately hand sliced and packaged right here on the premises – our way of guaranteeing the ultimate in unsurpassed taste, texture and quality.
