LVCT Health is a national Kenyan, non-governmental organization registered in 2002. Over the last two decades, LVCT Health has built a unique capacity to implement a Research-Policy-Practice model. This model facilitates the generation and utilization of evidence from research and practice to inform national policies and programmes and strengthen health systems for effective health response. Our main areas of focus are on HIV, sexual and reproductive health (SRH), Gender-Based violence (GBV), Mental Health, Community Health and Health System Strengthening, Policy and Advocacy, and Capacity Development and Re-granting in Kenya and beyond. LVCT Health supports government and partners to scale up access to health services; undertakes advocacy and provides technical support for the development of national and international standards and guidelines; and develops provider and organizational capacities. We target the vulnerable and most marginalised members of society. LVCT Health has over 365 full-time staff. Our multidisciplinary teams drive innovative research that is informed by high-level educational exposures, deep contextual understanding of Kenyan and African socio-cultural, economic and political contexts.
