LWAH is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in the year 1984. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people with special needs and enhance their dignity, independence, and productivity, while aiming at engaging them in society at large. Our vision is “turning disability into ability”. LWAH has had a special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since the year and has been a member of the regional consultative commission of the non-governmental organizations for the ESCWA. LWAH offers comprehensive medical and rehabilitation services through its different sections, ranging from diagnosis and treatment to Physical Therapy, Psychos-Social, Educational, and Vocational rehabilitation. Today, LWAH serves more than 340 patients per day and has over registered patients among its operating centers: Sarafand Rehabilitation Center – Sarafand South Lebanon (Main Center), Beirut Center, Tyre Center and Baalbek Center.
