Lydgalleriet

Lydgalleriet is a non-profit exhibition platform for sound-based and sound-related art in Bergen, Norway. Our purpose is to promote sonic art expressions through dissemination, stimulation for new production, live events, collaboration and community building. Since 2005, Lydgalleriet has regularly produced artistic projects from most fields within sound art, – from kinetic sculptures to multi-channel installations, concerts, workshops, performance and archival exhibitions. Lydgalleriet is Norway's only permanent exhibition platform for sound art and sonic practices, offering a varied artistic program throughout the year in our venue in Strandgaten in Bergen. We work closely with artists who display a criticality on sonic, spatial and technological media, contributing to professional discourse and public conversation. Lydgalleriet regularly collaborates with other local, regional and international partners. We are supported by Bergen City Council, Vestland County Council and Arts and Culture Norway.
