Lynn Roylance
Fine Art Photography Vision: seeing everyday moments We often think we need to go out some place special to photograph and overlook what is at hand. Approach is ninety precent. Having been an artist most of my life, my approach to photography is through fine art. I studied photography at Cal State Northridge with Roger Brown, where I learned how to see with more depth. I went on to Cal Arts and received my BFA and embarked down the path of fine art. Most of my photography was to document my art, until one day I picked up a digital Leica, a camera that was not encumbered with too many settings, and I remembered the pleasure of photographing. Armed with a camera that was easy to carry, a pleasure to operate, and Adobe Photoshop the new digital darkroom, I began exploring. Education: California Institue of the Arts, BFA 1971
