Maarifa Education was founded in 2014 to create an education holding company that would serve citizens and countries across Africa by providing high quality, accessible and market-relevant higher education through the investment in private universities. Maarifa is passionate about serving its university partners, the students and alumni of those universities, their faculty and staff as well as the communities and countries in which the universities operate. We believe that through these partnerships we can help transform Africa into an economic and intellectual powerhouse based on the strength and knowledge of her people, her sheer size and scale as well as her vastly untapped resources of which all Africans deserve to have a share
