Maatraa

Maatraa helps build confidence in English communication. The name comes from the maatraa in Indian languages, a dependent vowel that works with other sounds to shape meaning. A small building block on its own, it can create entire words and new meanings when combined. In the same way, Maatraa highlights the role of small but essential elements in confident English communication. Maatraa offers learning solutions for students, educators, and professionals. Designed for bilingual Indians who understand the basics of the language but often find it hard to use English comfortably, it bridges this gap through structured learning and guided practice. The approach is digital-first, making learning accessible, flexible, and easy to follow. Launched in 2017, Maatraa was incubated under the NASSCOM Startups programme. Its course content is recognised by SNDT Women’s University CHETNA under the NEP framework, and it is a recognised partner of MEPSC under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
