Macgardens

macGARDENS has been working in Ballarat’s open public places and private garden spaces since the turn of the century, providing planning advice, igarden installations, and maintenance services. Prior to the pandemic macGARDENS provided a wide range of integrated services in the Amenity Horticulture and Landscaping fields, in the Ballarat region, to private, government and commercial entities. Post-pandemic our role has been refined to specialist pruning, general (seasonal) garden maintenance, and planning consultation services. macGARDENS has been a Principal Contractor and Preferred Supplier to the City of Ballarat since 2003. Since 2001, macGARDENS has developed from a sole tradership whose primary focus was dismantling trees in restricted areas, to building and keeping domestic gardens and public landscapes. The integrated nature of the business came about from demand, and our core work is pruning and planting; soft landscaping. If we are to plant a tree, the job can come with the requirement to firstly remove other features, remediate soil to accommodate the chosen species, then possibly irrigate and illuminate the feature in what effectively becomes a new garden space.
