We started our activities in 1990, as a boutique specialized in the tax area. Our practice, strongly focused in the beginning, was guided by the extensive experience of our founding partners in this area, in particular of José Maurício Machado, who had until then acted as the partner in charge of the tax department of a major international consulting and auditing company. Throughout our 28 years of existence, we have grown significantly and diversified our services. However, this growth was never the final goal in itself, but rather a consequence supported by and attuned to the needs of our clients. We have approximately 100 highly qualified professionals, including 20 partners specialized in the many areas of the Corporate Law. We have offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília, and we also rely on correspondent law firms throughout Brazil, which allow us to meet our clients’ needs in all states. Because of our intense international practice, we are part of the tax networks WTS Global and LATAXNET – Latin American Tax and Legal Network, as the only Brazilian firm representing both in Brazil. Our active participation in these networks and our strong relationships with international law firms, leaders in their markets, place our firm in a highly privileged position to conduct international transactions.
