I started MacRed Designs in 2004 as a side-line, freelance business while teaching digital design at a community college and continued on while when I moved on to a marketing position with a large corporation. Over that time, I had observed a change in how businesses market and promote themselves – companies rely more and more on media consultants. So in 2014, I embraced the ‘trend’ and launched MacRed Designs as a full-time business. A major pothole in the business marketing landscape is this: everybody who has ever visited a website, had a twitter feed, or written a blog claims to be an expert (which frequently is not true) – and along with that proclaimed “expertise” is a huge bill! But the bigger risk businesses face from these experts is being sold unnecessary upgrades they do not really need & won’t benefit from. What MacRed Designs focuses on is simple: providing clients with what they really need…no up-sale, no techno double-speak, just quality print & digital media. I bring extensive experience from working in a large corporate environment while at the same time understand the importance of offering very affordable rates that work within the realistic budgets of small businesses. The biggest ‘value-add’ I offer is that the work I design for you is your intellectual property – you own it. I will never hold your work hostage by keeping the masters or charging you for every little change you need. I understand that every customer has unique needs & I can work with you to identify the media & marketing presence that will help you reach your goals.
