MACRS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to address the accounting profession's shrinking and non-diverse landscape, influenced by factors such as rigorous CPA exam requirements, high costs, long work hours, a perception of accounting as less exciting, and income misalignment. This results in an annual shortage of accountants, with fewer students choosing accounting majors and professionals leaving the field. Our commitment is to address the prevailing state of the accounting profession by delivering exceptional resources to underrepresented high school and college students with aspirations of becoming Certified Public Accountants.
