Madagascar Soap Project
We are a non-profit working in Madagascar to teach soap making and create economic opportunities for rural communities. Our mission is based on many of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically #3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, and 17. Our organization operates through true community engagement and is working on developing a Soap Makers' Association of Madagascar so that the ownership of the soap making process, resource management, and future workshops will eventually transition to them. Parallel to our educational workshops, we collect and observe health and demographic data in the communities we serve to show a measurable impact of our programs.
