Made On The Moon

We connect East & South East Asian (ESEA) creatives with commissioning partners, establish community and commercial partnerships, offer consultancy and events production services. Founded in 2022, MOON FEST was born when our producer and director Monica Wat saw a need for a space that fosters ESEA creativity. She launched the multi-arts festival to celebrate ESEA creatives in Bristol with live performances, film screenings, art and food stalls. The first festival sold out with overwhelmingly positive reception, and we welcomed over 200 people in one afternoon in Arnolfini. MOON FEST took place again in September 2023 at Trinity Centre. We have been interviewed by the BBC, Bristol Post, The Bristol Magazine and more. Since then, MOON FEST has become our annual flagship arts festival, and Made on the Moon forges and maintains partnerships with organisations like Watershed, the National Trust and more to connect ESEA creatives with opportunities, aiming to bring more ESEA representation and support our artists' sustainable creative careers. Since 2022, we have worked with a number of established organisations to bring ESEA creative projects to life. We co-organised a preview screening of Korean-American film 'Past Lives' with Watershed, and supported the outreach initiatives of Cinema Rediscovered. We produced the Dragon Boat Fest to celebrate the traditional East Asian festivity at PRSC. Stay tuned to our upcoming projects!
