501c3 tax exempt nonprofit created to empower the citizens of the Mississippi Delta to be self-sufficient, through community partnerships and educational enrichment programs. M.A.G.I.C. aims to carry out this mission by dismantling systemic barriers that impede the success of communities in the region. First, we will seek to understand the fundamental causes of perpetual cycles of poverty in the region through comprehensive research and analysis of relevant data. Second, we will seek funding to provide programs that increase access to best practices relating to financial literacy, healing from childhood trauma, improving self-esteem, decreasing violence, utilizing the arts as positive outlets of self-expression, and overall life skills that lead to success. Third, we will educate residents of the Mississippi Delta in ways that encourage them to adopt fiscally, emotionally, mentally, and socially healthy practices and lifestyles.
