Magis Consulting are specialists in gender education, leadership and social media literacy programs.'Magis' is Latin for substantive, more, greater. We believe in developing the inner magis - the desire to be better, to seek depth - in every person we work with. We offer dual consulting modes - we provide educational leadership programs to teachers and educational leaders, and also support organisations in educating their staff and communities. Our areas of expertise are drawn from the career of our Director and Founder, Melinda Davis, who has almost 30 years experience as an educator. Melinda is a passionate advocate of women in leadership, specifically in industries where there are few opportunities for women in leadership. Melinda’s doctoral thesis was on the leadership experiences of women in boys’ schools and as an area she knows expertly well, she leads workshops on how women can be successful in areas where they are not always positioned to achieve success. Melinda’s other great passion is media, and as a media teacher for almost three decades she assists organisations to deliver gender, character and social-media education programs to their communities and to embed cultures of respect. Magis also offers organisations assistance in sensitively navigating gender-related and/or social media incidents with a focus on human dignity and rebuilding relationships.
