Maison Gainsbourg

Dedicated to the transmission of Serge Gainsbourg’s work and history, Maison Gainsbourg is a new cultural institution that will open in September 2023 and offers an experience across two distinct sites on rue de Verneuil in Paris (7th arrondissement)- 5 bis: the historic house in which Serge Gainsbourg lived for 22 years, a legendary interior that has remained intact since his death in 1991- number 14: a museum retracing the life and career of the artist, a book and gift shop and Le Gainsbarre, a café and piano bar, extend the experience for all visitors. Heritage site, cultural center, convivial space and place for artistic development, Maison Gainsbourg will welcome around visitors per year. The cultural programme Will be offered on site, digitally and beyond its walls. Maison Gainsbourg is dedicated to making the collection known to the widest possible audience, and to enrich knowledge of Serge Gainsbourg’s work in all of its wide-ranging aspects.
