WHO WE ARE FAMILY At Maison Tricot we are proud of our family heritage with over 50 years of experience in the field of knitwear. Ilia Sigi Eckardt grew up in Antwerp in a very creative family where knitting was essential to the household. Being considered true experts in their field, mother Hilde Frunt and son Ilia Eckardt have been collaborating with Belgium's best and brightest designers: Dries Van Noten, Raf Simons, Ann Demeulemeester and many more. The last few years we have been expanding our textile knowledge in the world of interior. MADE IN BELGIUM – ROOTED GLOBALLY We do all our research, designing and development in our offices in Antwerp. We provide exclusive and limited production at our in-house studio using crochet, hand knit and domestic knitting machines. We work with a trusted global network of suppliers to ensure quality, versatility, and scalability across all projects. CRAFTSMANSHIP We have a deep respect and care for the designs we create as well as for the way in which we produce them. Everything we create is made with a strong focus on the craftsmanship and attention to detail that is needed in order to ensure the best quality and a rich look. DESIGN APPROACH Our design approach is based on ‘Bringing tacile elegance into you daily rituals.’ It is about making the user feel embraced. Our designs offer a psophisticated look that touches the hearts and minds of people. WHAT WE DO PRODUCT DESIGN We design and/or develop your knitwear collection and provide you with technical support throughout. Knitwear being our expertise we provide you with yarn sourcing, colour research, development of stitch, finishings, graphics and shape studies. CONSULTANCY We offer end-to-end consultancy in everything knitwear — from concept development to design, prototyping, and production for both fashion and interior applications.
