Maizecor Foods Ltd leads the field as a manufacturing company involved in the dry milling of French yellow maize into its component parts, it is the only such standalone operation of its kind in the UK. In 1976 a Buhler Maize Mill was installed, primarily for producing maize ingredients for the snack food, breakfast cereal and brewing markets. The business is now privately owned and is a highly automated and streamlined run operation with service and consistency being our goal to current and potential customers. All our Maize is sourced from a Cavac in France, it is grown from a non GM (Genetically Modified) seed. The raw maize is brought over to the UK by sea. The vessels are selected by Frontier Agriculture who have full control of the whole process. SGS are instructed as the Super Intendents and perform the discharge inspection. This site produces the following non GM products- Flaking Grits - For use in the production of traditional flake maize for the brewing industry and certain larger flaked products, Coarse Grits- Manufactured to high levels of control of oil content, granulation, and moisture for use in snack food production, breakfast cereals, coatings and as an adjunct in the brewing industry, Fine Grits - Manufactured to high levels of control of oil content, granulation, and moisture for use in snack food production, breakfast cereals, coatings, brewing industry and as a pizza or bread roll topping, Medium Polenta - Manufactured to high levels of control of oil content, granulation, and moisture for use in the coatings, batter mixes, bakery, and specialist products markets, Flour - Manufactured to high levels of control of oil content, granulation, and moisture for use in extruded snack products, coatings, batter mixes and for carrying of flavours, Maizecor Max These are the co-products of the milling process, sought after by the poultry and ruminant feed industries, due to their high level of grain traceability and Non GMO Attribution.
