Makaya Hub

Makaya hub is an initiative whose vision is to establish maternal health and safe Motherhood among marginalized communities in Kenya and Africa. Makaya hub employs digital health Innovation using Mobile health Technology and incorporates a dynamic approach to leverage healthcare accessibility by bridging gaps between mothers and doctors. We believe that healthy motherhood translates to a healthy society thus creating a system that deploys communication by incorporating both the U.S.S.D platform for messaging services and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) for audio communication. Our story of change and transforming health in marginalized Communities has put the Hub on the national health Agenda in Kenya as an innovation worthwhile in Sexual Reproductive Health. Practical and smart with basics, we have further improved our systems by creating data management protocols that allow mothers and children in creating a medical profile, history, and other health vitals that are updated, reviewed, and analyzed by a doctor upon Antenatal and Postnatal visit. Our data management tools allow healthcare workers to map out diseases, infections, and immunization data.
