First, the push to make homes and offices ‘smart’ created a need for the average consumer to seek more advanced levels of technical support - including support that spans across multiple manufacturers. Second, smart devices did not seem to be designed for the way humans actually live. People were forced to make adjustments to integrate these things into their lives.
