Makerere Engineering Society

Makerere Engineering Society is a students' association that unites all students at the school of engineering under the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology at Makerere University. The association traces its roots back to 1971, a time when most engineering disciplines were introduced in the University and Uganda as a whole. It is the pioneer students’ organisation in the Faculty of Technology (now College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology - CEDAT) and boasts of a rich vein of products over the years in terms of well placed engineers and professors as well as other professionals. With about 50 years of existance MES has had different success people throug its hand as they become part of the association when students.
