mamafilm is a village – at the crossroads of art & advocacy – where storytellers and changemakers come together through a maternal gaze. We serve as a cultivator, creator and curator by supporting bold, socially-conscious storytellers through creative producing, distribution consulting and community-centric exhibition. We center stories that nurture women and identity. We trust in storytelling as a catalyst for connection, and believe that media literacy and representation feed our context of the world around us. We value lived experience, fellowship, curiosity, regeneration and purposeful interventions to the independent storytelling ecosystem.
