Mamuthack

MamutHack is a project that started in 2018 with the initiative of 4 university students to try to find people who have potential and talent, giving them the optimal conditions so that they can demonstrate it to large companies, organizations and associations regardless of their economic situation, gender, nationality, work experience, academic studies or any other that could condition opportunities to show their worth. MamutHack is difficult to define. There is no basic concept of what it could be. But if it is necessary to categorize it, we could say that we try to expand and educate the concept of hackathon (a type of event where the participants solve some challenges proposed to demonstrate its potential and whose term we will extend later for who does not know it,) to take it to a new horizon over time through continuous feedback, mixing it with a shuttle variant, as well as the possibility of joining the MamutHack team as a Mamut to discover new lands together. These last two are ideas still to be conceptualized and materialized. We will educate it trying to improve its dynamics making it more effective, and we will expand it by taking MamutHack to other branches different from the usual one (the field of programming), in events independent of each other and in different geographical locations for the same edition and branch, looking for talent wherever you are. The MamutHack conglomerate will also be made up of entertainment and leisure events characteristic of each branch. The first branch we started was the most mature, the one related to the world of programming and engineering, which was carried out in a single geographic situation for the first edition, the School of Engineering of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, whose entertainment event will be the Land Party. As we consolidate Programmers, we work on opening new ramifications.
