ManAdvantage understands that the loss of a parent can have a distressing effect on families, especially children. Already overwhelmed with emotion, the children and able guardians are now confronted with the hurdle of financing all aspects of life. ManAdvantage’s mission is to provide children affected by the loss of a parent with the opportunity to continue their involvement in the sport of hockey through the use of corporate sponsors and fundraising. ManAdvantage’s goal is to not only make hockey accessible to these children but to provide them with the opportunity to learn the life skills that accompany the game. The sport of hockey helps teach children life skills…helping create self-esteem, teamwork, problem solving and communication skills. Through their involvement in hockey these children will be given the opportunity to make a difference in their own and other people’s lives.
