The Manageering University Startups Program allows university students, faculty, and alumni to create a team of up to six people to collaborate online with a Manageering facilitator for up to 2 hours per day to create a strategic business plan over a 30 day period. The program consists of 5-stages with a total of 15-steps. STAGE 1: SELECT BIG ISSUE TO SOLVE Step 1. Select big issue that the new spinoff will solve in an existing industry STAGE 2: ANALYZE EXISTING INDUSTRY COMPETITION Step 2: Analyze industry mindset using Zero-Sum Competition Model Step 3: Analyze industry level profitability using Five Forces Model Step 4: Analyze firm level profitability using Value Chain Model STAGE 3: ENGINEER NEW COMPETITIVE STRATEGY Step 5: Design unique value proposition Step 6: Design distinct value chain Step 7: Design tradeoffs in value proposition & value chain Step 8: Design value chain activities to fit with other activities Step 9: Design sustained competitive advantage with continuity STAGE 4: MANAGE ON-GOING OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE Step 10: Manage marketing best practices Step 11: Manage operations best practices Step 12: Manage human resources best practices Step 13: Manage information systems best practices Step 14: Manage finance best practices STAGE 5: RAISE CAPITAL TO FUND SPINOFF Step 15: Compile strategic business plan presentation
